Editorsashortwalkashortwalk is a product design and manufacturing company started in 2003 by Dan. The majority of the team left their design/inventor jobs at Dyson and moved to Cornwall in order to realise a long-held desire: to set up a business, and live, ashortwalk from the beach. At ashortwalk we strongly believe that new products should provide a functional benefit that directly improve our lives. 80% of the worlds population live and work around the coastline yet there are very few products helping us get the most out of our incredible coastline. We've spent the last four years designing products that aim to provide all the information we need on a daily basis - it's up to you to get out there and make the most of it. As a team we've designed and brought to market many products not just for ashortwalk. Apart from trying to come up with new fresh ideas the most important aspect to design is 'quality'. Quality of thought, finish, pride, manufacture, every aspect must be covered. Without quality a product design and manufacturing company simply won't be around in 3 years. |
