Beach Safety.Look for the RED and YELLOW flags and SWIM or BODY BOARD between them. Never swim when the RED flag is flying.BLACK and WHITE chequered flag means an area of water has been marked for use by CRAFT or SURFERS. An ORANGE windsock flying at the beach indicates that wind conditions are especially dangerous - so under no cirumstances should you take an inflatable into the sea. If you get into difficulty, stick up your hand and shout for help (surfers should never abandon their board). Good beach guide. The Good Beach Guide is produced by the Marine Conservation Society.
